To the South Island! (Via Wellington)

This is a bit of a random way to start this entry… But steak in a camper! Very impressed with the head chef 😀 IMG_8019

Yesterday we zoomed into Wellington for a brief visit, instantly fell in love with the Capital, in particular the harbour. Loads of cool restaurants and bars and pieces of art dotted around the place, well worth a visit! (and I would definitely recommend The Crab Shack if you are a seafood fan)

While in Wellington, we also visited the Te Papa Museum, this place is free and packed with cool and interesting exhibits 🙂

My personal favourite being the natural history level featuring the only Colossal Squid specimen on display in the world!!

Today we took the Interislander ferry over to the South Island, exciting times! Instantly fell in love the second we started steaming through all the little islands, beautiful!

Currently set up just outside of the Abel Tasman national park, little bit of exploring on the agenda tomorrow and a freebie tour of the park set up on Monday 😀 amazing views while driving over today, including the mighty Arthur Ranges looming in the distance, can’t wait to get out and about and see more of the area.
