Exploring Abel Tasman

We got lucky today, free trip around the Abel Tasman National Park! Such stunning scenery in every direction, Southern Fur Seals, Sting Rays, birds of all shapes and sizes… Bliss!

The trip involved a boat trip for a couple of hours, visiting a few famous spots such as ‘Split Apple Rock’ and the Fur seal colony.

We were then dropped off in a little bay and walked through loads of thick forest and bush until we got to our pick up point in Anchorage Bay.

We did manage to squeeze in lunch on a gorgeous beach, walked across sand flats at low tide, and a little swim in the crystal clear (massive sting ray inhabited!) water, all in all a good day!

Bit hot and feeling the effects of the sun this eve, time for loads of aftersun and a cider me thinks 🙂
