Lake Hood

Im still enjoying my new camera immensely and having fun trying out new settings and styles and attempting to learn more about photography.

Today (a blissful, long awaited Sunday) was no exception. We took a drive to nearby Lake Hood, a man made lake designed to give the people of Ashburton a little slice of luxury and  place to hang out in the summer months and enjoy some water activities. Obviously a bit different in the middle of winter, it was a bit chilly, and mostly deserted, apart from a few hardy individuals enjoying some water skiing, kayaking and jet boating. It was great to get outside and enjoy some fresh air.

I am under no illusion that my photography skills need some vast improvements, but here are a few of my favourite shots of the day 🙂

Enjoy!
